Chicago Bulls: This is the perfect lineup for 2020-2021 season

Power Forwards
Starter: Lauri Markkanen
Will this finally be the big breakout year for Lauri Markkanen? Year four is upon him, and it sounds like the new front office has huge plans for Markkanen. The Bulls brass wants to keep Markkanen around long-term, and it seems as though the feeling is mutual.

It’s the last year of his rookie deal, so Markkanen knows he’s in line to get paid. The question becomes, when will that extension happen?
The rumors just days ago said that Markkanen could be extended soon. But, if that’s the case, he may agree to quite the bargain in terms of money. Markkanen hasn’t broken out yet, but there seems to be a lot of confidence he will. If that happens. Chicago could make out pretty nicely with an extension.
Next Man Up: Thaddeus Young
While reports surfaced last season that Thaddeus Young wasn’t thrilled about his role on the Bulls, he stayed put. Now in his second season with Chicago, he’s likely a lot more confident that Donovan knows of his talent and will put him in better position to contribute.
Young wasn’t used to playing so few minutes as he did last season, but the talent is there. He’s capable of playing and guarding multiple positions, and when he’s at his best and motivated, Young is a phenomenal sixth man.
