By the time we get to the draft, Amari Rodgers’ stock could be far higher than the sixth round. But, for now, this is where we find him — and that’s a positive for the Bears.
The one word which comes to mind when watching Rodgers? Electric. He is a big play waiting to happen, and that’s not just on a deep ball. Rodgers is dangerous after the catch, especially across the middle of the field — and he’s not scared to go there.
Rodgers is actually more of a YAC receiver who catches the football and immediately looks for more. He’s going to be a guy you want to have the ball on third downs, that’s for sure. But, he can also take you deep if you’re not careful.

So far in 2020, he has 61 receptions for 845 yards and six touchdowns. He does most of his damage from the slot, but in a (hopefully) revamped offense in Chicago in 2021, he could be used in multiple areas.
Rodgers has become one of Trevor Lawrence’s top targets this year and the two clearly have a connection. Coming from a program like Clemson, who produces a lot of top-end NFL talent at the receiver position, Rodgers is an excellent value here in the sixth round.
