New York Yankees

The New York Yankees are always involved whenever a big free agent is available. They haven’t had a losing record in multiple decades and this is a large reason why. They are always looking to improve and this offseason should be no different. This isn’t just a typical Yankees team, either. They are good enough to win the World Series and will try to push themselves over the edge at some point this winter.

They have some free agents of their own but that doesn’t mean that they won’t push for Schwarber. The Yankees tried to land Schwarber in 2016 when they traded Aroldis Chapman to the Cubs. They settled for Gleybar Torres and that ended up being a blessing in disguise. Well, now there is a chance they end up with Chapman, Torres, and Schwarber.

The Cubs probably wish they kept Torres and let Schwarber go for Chapman but you never know how the World Series would have turned out. Schwarber missed almost the whole 2016 season but was brilliant in the actual World Series against the Cleveland Indians. Regardless, he would look awesome in a star-studded lineup of players like Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and (potentially) DJ LeMahieu. If he went there, he would have another great chance to be a World Series champion.
