4) Tom Clements, Arizona Cardinals

Tom Clements is one name that the Bears will probably be avoiding this offseason, mainly because he’ll be 68 years old by the time the 2021 NFL season begins. However, it’s hard to ignore his track record of what he’s done in the NFL.

Clements has been in the NFL for nearly two decades now, with about a decade being spent with the Green Bay Packers in three different roles: Quarterbacks coach, offensive coordinator, and assistant head coach.

Essentially, for the majority of his career, he’s been around guys like Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. He’s was also Rodgers offensive coordinator during the Packers Super Bowl run back in 2010. That means Clements knows a thing or two about developing quarterbacks and what to look for.

Currently, Clements is with the Arizona Cardinals, working with one of the most exciting young offensives in the NFL, a unit that features quarterback Kyler Murray and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

As mentioned above, the biggest knock on Clements is his age, however, his experience working with Favre and Rodgers could make him an interesting candidate if the Bears ownership is looking to get this issue of not having a franchise quarterback solve once and for all.
