Trade Two

The New York Yankees are a team that sustains success better than any other organization in all of the sports. They haven’t had a record below .500 in a very long time and were even a competitive team during a minor rebuild (the period of time where they traded Chapman to the Cubs). Now, they are looking to add that final piece they need to win the World Series. That is why they might be able to trade two promising young players to the Cubs for Bryant.

Clint Frazier seems to keep getting unlucky in New York. It seems like everything he is doing is good but never gets regular playing time. The Cubs would certainly be able to offer him that as a full time left fielder. They are probably going to move on from Kyle Schwarber and Frazier would be a great replacement. He just turned 26 years old and is finally ready to be a full-time Major League Baseball player.

As for Luis Gil, he is currently listed as the New York Yankees number five prospect. He is a right-handed pitcher and we know how bad the Cubs need pitching. He is a good option for them to continue his development. He was originally a Minnesota Twins prospect but was sent to New York in the Jake Cave trade. He is probably going to be Major League ready next season so the Cubs would be smart to go for him now.
