Trade One

The Chicago Cubs might just want to make a one for one trade with the Yankees so each team can address something. The Cubs might not actually rebuild and just try to replace the players we know they are losing. If the Cubs could land Gio Urshela for Bryant, it would be a win for them. Chances are he could come in and play third base just as well as Bryant. It would be a great change of scenery for both guys.

Why would the Yankees want to add Bryant instead of keeping Urshela? Well, they might just want to change things up. For the past few years, the Yankees have been so close to capturing an American League pennant but have come up just shy. Urshela hasn’t been awesome in the playoffs and Bryant has a ring. It might just be a hope that the Bryant of old comes out once October begins.

It is something to consider for the Cubs as they try to move this team forward. Each team has come to a halt in the playoffs earlier than they would have wanted so adding a new face might help change that. This proposal is what you would call a “baseball trade” because each team would be trying to improve their chances of winning the World Series right away.
