The Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox could work something out for Kris Bryant.

It sounds like the Chicago Cubs might be willing to move on from Kris Bryant. He is one of the most important players in the history of the franchise as he was the best player on the team that ended a 108 year World Series drought. He got his career started off right by winning a Rookie of the Year Award and then followed it up with an MVP the following year. Not many players have accumulated the WAR that Bryant has since he came into the league.

The Cubs are going to pick up his option for 2021 but that doesn’t mean he will play for them. He only has one year left and a lot of teams are believed to be in on the former All-Star third baseman. He would bring a lot to a team that is looking to take the next step.

On the White Sox Talk Podcast, NBC’s Chuck Garfien and David Kaplan discussed the possibility of the Chicago White Sox making a run Bryant. Both believed it is possible and something that could be considered. The White Sox might have to give up one thing extra because of who they are dealing with but they might consider it.

The Cubs and the White Sox used to be two teams that rarely ever dealt with one another.
