Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves are one of the best teams in Major League Baseball. They had a 3-1 series lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. They blew it and the Dodgers climbed all the way back and eventually won the World Series. The Braves are so good and have so many great players but they could use one more piece. Adding a player like Kris Bryant might be a great way to push them over the edge.

They could use another big bat in their lineup and if Bryant is healthy he is a big bat. He only played in 34 games this past season so his numbers don’t look great. It is a small sample size but they certainly were good numbers in 2019. If they added that type of production to their lineup in Atlanta, it would be even more dangerous.

It would also send a message to the rest of the Braves that they are trying to win. If you add a core piece of a legendary team, it says a lot about your organization. Bryant has done it all with the Cubs and would provide a good amount of knowledge to that young Braves team. Right now, they only have Austin Riley on their depth chart for third base. Bryant would be a great upgrade at that position.

We don’t even know for sure if the Cubs will tender Bryant which would make him a free agent for all of these teams to consider. Even if they do tender him, he might be a great option to acquire in a trade if the Cubs are serious about moving him. It should be fun to watch develop over the next few weeks as teams try to improve for 2021.
