The Chicago Bears are so bad and last night’s game shows everyone needs to be gone.

The fine folks in Houston got to watch Deshaun Watson light up their Thanksgiving afternoon on Thursday with an impressive win over the Detroit Lions. Earlier on Sunday, the great people of Kansas City were lucky enough to watch Patrick Mahomes light it up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Meanwhile, in Chicago, we got to watch Mitchell Trubisky be pretty awful in the Chicago Bears‘ loss to the Green Bay Packers. Everything that has happened should force the organization to make a change.

Trubisky is already going to be gone. We know that. They didn’t pick up his 5th-year option last offseason and then traded for Nick Foles. Trubisky won the job to start the season but was benched not even a month in. Now that Foles is injured, Trubisky was given another chance and he failed miserable. It wasn’t his worst performance of all time but it was more proof (as if we needed any) that he isn’t the guy.

The problems lie so much deeper than the quarterback room. First of all, Matt Nagy is a terrible coach. Everything he does for this team seems to be wrong. He finally handed off the playcalling duties ahead of the last game but it didn’t get much better from there. He needs to go right now.

Even worse than Nagy over the last three years has been the work of Ryan Pace. He hit on a couple of mid-round picks but has been pretty brutal as a general manager in general. Even the Khalil Mack trade is starting to look like a bad deal because they don’t know how to win with him. Of course, picking Trubisky over Watson or Mahomes is the number one mistake but everything in between makes it even worse.

How do the Bears keep ending up with bad coaches and bad GMs? Well, they are a bad organization. They have a deep history and that keeps people from seeing how lousy they are from top to bottom. Ted Phillips is the president and he does a terrible job at hiring people who evaluate talent. Right there with Nagy and Pace, Phillips needs to be on the next flight home. This is getting ridiculous. Theo Epstein could come in from a completely different sport and do a better job of finding the right people.

Hot. The Chicago Bears should learn from the Detroit Lions. light

A loss like this to the arch-rival Packers on national television is embarrassing. They showed a three-way box of Nagy, Trubisky, and Pace during the broadcast and it made you realize that all three need to be gone. It would probably lead to the next person blowing up the roster and that is okay. They need to keep doing that until they finally get it right.
