The Chicago Cubs don’t have Theo Epstein anymore. What is next for him in his career?

The Chicago Cubs, as of today, is no longer led by Theo Epstein on the baseball side of things. He passed it on to Jed Hoyer who will now take over. It is a tough blow to the Chicago Cubs but it was coming. COVID-19 might have caused it to come a year earlier than it otherwise would have but he had a foot out the door either way. He leaves them with one year left on his contract and a big mess to clean up.

No matter what Theo decides to do, you can bet your bottom dollar that he is good at it. He is a fantastic leader of people which is what makes him so successful. He certainly might take some free time to himself for a bit but he will be back in the sports world. He is only 46 years old and is already one of the greatest front office managers in the history of sports. These are three jobs that would be fun to see Theo take on in his next journey:
