2019-2020 Numbers

11.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.9 steals in 24.3 minutes

A common theme between a few of these guys are the fact that they have previous relationships with either Karnisovas or Donovan, and Paul Millsap is no exception. Having played the last few years with the Denver Nuggets, he should know Karnisovas well.

Now 35 years old, Millsap has been accustomed to a starting role for almost his entire career. Last year, though, he played the fewest amount of minutes since 2007. Still, he was the starter for the Nuggets. Although, it felt like he was slowly being phased out of that spot because the Nuggets ran so deep. He was no longer needed as the guy who played 30-plus minutes like he was in his first year with Denver.

When looking at his fit with the Bulls, it would have to come down to Millsap accepting a bench role. This is a big year for Lauri Markkanen and the Bulls want to see what he could be under the right coaching, so Millsap would be one of the first guys off the bench along with Thaddeus Young.

Aside from wondering whether he would accept a bench role, knee issues are a concern with Millsap. His name would still likely command a good amount of money, so in the end, it doesn’t seem like Millsap would be a match.

Verdict: Pass
