What a story Joe Harris is. After being essentially a castoff by the Cleveland Cavaliers and a former second-round pick, Harris found a home with the Brooklyn Nets. He has become a sure fire starting wing with the ability to score from outside on the regular.

The problem with Harris’ future in Brooklyn is the fact that the Nets could shock the NBA world by going after a guy like James Harden, according to multiple reports over the past couple of days. This week will be very telling for the future of Brooklyn.

When looking at his free agency outlook, Harris could end up being a fairly expensive signee for his future team. The Bulls still have a chunk of money going to Otto Porter Jr. this season, so investing even more into the small forward position would be a tough idea to wrap their heads around.

Harris is also not the defender some of these other guys are, therefore the Bulls should ultimately decide to pass on his services. He fits much better on a contending team as a third option, and with teammates who are already established defenders.

Verdict: Pass
