Chicago Bulls, NBA rumors

Plenty of names have been tossed around in the latest NBA trade rumors. Will the Chicago Bulls get involved?

Let the countdown begin. It’s draft week and the Chicago Bulls have what a lot of teams want — a top-5 pick. It’s an interesting year to have such a high draft pick, because by most accounts, this class is short on talent.

Most agree that the top three players in this class are point guard LaMelo Ball, center James Wiseman and guard Anthony Edwards. Ever so often, over the last couple of weeks, we’ve seen other players linked to some of the top teams. But, the likeliest scenario on Wednesday night would be seeing those three selected back-to-back-to-back.

The Bulls are in a unique spot, though. They are a team that could easily opt to trade their pick (no. 4 overall). Chicago brought in a completely fresh front office with Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley now calling the shots.

Karnisovas may have no problem trading the fourth overall pick, especially if he sees value in moving down just a bit. The blueprint moving into the coming years is going to include a few moves, whether it be trades or free agency signings.

Karnisovas’ track record in terms of drafting talent, specifically internationally, is a great one.

By now, we know the Bulls brought in the guy who was responsible for finding Nikola Jokic along with rising star Jamal Murray via the draft. Karnisovas can find talent. It’s been a breath of fresh air having Karnisovas in his position for a few months now, and most fans would probably agree that he should be trusted until he proves he can’t be.

Fans should be looking forward to Wednesday night with much anticipation, and not only because of the draft. Aside from making the picks, teams will be wheeling and dealing.

So, if the Bulls decide to make a move, it could be for one of a few different names mentioned in rumors recently. Would they have to necessarily move that no. 4 pick? Let’s dive into a few potential trade scenarios that could go down this week.
