Trade No. 2

This is the one deal which is least likely to happen, if you have been following along with all of the latest Bulls rumors. A recent report said that Lauri Markkanen is “untouchable” in trade talks.

However, he’s probably the most coveted player by a team like the Timberwolves if they were to engage in trade talks with the Bulls regarding the no. 1 pick. If the Bulls were to move up just three spots and deal a kid like Markkanen with so much potential still, they would likely have to ask for a player in return as well.

Jarrett Culver didn’t exactly have a standout rookie season, and he looks more like he could become a solid role player off the bench in the coming years. The funny thing about Culver is that, during last year’s draft when the Timberwolves traded up ahead of the Bulls, many people were convinced Minnesota was going to take White instead.

The Wolves, of course, took Culver and White fell into Chicago’s lap which ended up being a huge victory for the Bulls. But, in a deal like this, the Bulls would have to try for a player in return if they were to deal Markkanen as well.

This scenario is the most unlikely of them all, not just because Markkanen is involved. But, seeing the Wolves trade a first-round pick from last year is not the most realistic deal. Either way, this is what I would like to see if the Bulls did indeed give up Markkanen.
