The Chicago Bears vs Tennessee Titans game looked way closer than it was.

The Chicago Bears played a pretty pathetic game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon. It was one of the single worst performances that they have put on in the last 20 years. There were a couple of games that were worse under Marc Trestman but this one is certainly the worst one in the Matt Nagy era. Everyone involved with the offensive side of the ball should really be ashamed of themselves. The worst part is that they put together some garbage points late in the game to make it look a little better.

They really deserved to be shut out and have zero points on the board. That is what it looked like going into the 4th quarter. Somehow, they put up a whopping 17 points in the fourth quarter to make the game look close with a 24-17 final. The defense was great throughout the whole game but the offense gave them absolutely nothing.

The things Ryan Pace has done to make this offense so bad should really get him fired now. Mitchell Trubisky was a bust at second overall and Nick Foles has been an even worse replacement. They don’t have an offensive line that is worth speaking of which makes things harder for their already bad quarterbacks and the running backs suffer just as much.

Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney are awesome wide receivers despite not having a quarterback who is very good or an offensive line that allows the bad quarterback to throw them the ball. Anthony Miller has his moments of greatness but he is never consistent either. Outside of a few receivers basically, everything else with the offense has major issues.

One last key, and perhaps the biggest, is the head coach. He has to be the worst playcalling head coach in the National Football League. The fact that he hasn’t seen the issues and handed the duty off to someone else is one of the wildest stories in the NFL. It has to be clear to everyone around him that he is a detriment to the offense but nobody is doing anything about it.

Not only does he call plays that should never be used in certain situations, but his personnel use is awful. Using Cordarrelle Patterson as much as he does in the backfield and as a receiver is mind-boggling. As long as he is the head coach calling plays, this team is going nowhere. They have now lost three in a row which has made the playoffs become a question after a 5-1 start. This game looked close if you look at the final score but it wasn’t a close football game at all.
