Chicago Bears look to another successful organization

At this point, you may have identified a trend. Many of these candidates are from successful organizations or ones with a track record of making quality personnel decisions, whether that’s through the draft or free agency.

Perhaps one of the best teams in building their organization and making personnel decisions is the Baltimore Ravens. So why not look to their pool of talented front-office executives for Pace’s replacement?

If they do, they might want to begin with Joe Hortiz, the Ravens’ current director of college scouting. Hortiz has been with the organization for over 20 years and has learned from both Ozzie Newsome and Ernie DeCosta who have been two of the best to do it in recent years.

Some of the team’s most notable recent draft picks are truly remarkable. They include, Ronnie Stanley, Za’Darius Smith, CJ Mosley, Timmy Jernigan, Marlon Humphrey, Orlando Brown, Lamar Jackson, Hayden Hurst, Mark Andrews, Marquise Brown, Patrick Queen, JK Dobbins, and the list goes on and on.

This doesn’t even take into account the numerous successful free agent signings, like Matthew Judon, Mark Ingram, and others. Not that I have a voice, but if I did, I would not let the Bears make a decision until they interviewed Joe Hortiz.
