The first guy the Bears could be in line for probably won’t even be a first rounder. In fact, Kyle Trask should end up being had in the third or fourth round of next year’s draft.

At the moment, Trask has many people split on whether or not his game can translate to the NFL. There are times he can be seen staring down his first option, but ends up hitting that target regardless of how tight the coverage is. On one hand, that’s impressive. On the other, it’s a trait that NFL defenses could eat up.

Nonetheless, Trask has had an impressive start to his 2020 season. Over his first four games, Trask actually broke an SEC record held by this year’s no. 1 overall pick, Joe Burrow.

Last year, Burrow tossed 17 touchdowns over his first four games, which is a conference record to begin a season. On Halloween night, Trask started slow by throwing a pick-six, but was able to come back and break Burrow’s record when he eventually threw his 18th touchdown in four games.

Trask could be an ideal candidate to draft and sit on the bench for a season or two, before he’s ready to start. While fans may not be patient enough, Foles would at least be a great teacher for a kid like Trask.
