3. Bears decide to deal Allen Robinson

If you were watching the entire Bears/Saints broadcast on Sunday, you saw cameras cut to Allen Robinson a couple of times and, let’s just say he didn’t look happy. The cameras tended to pan to Robinson after either a bad throw by Foles or if the quarterback took an unnecessary sack.

Robinson looked frustrated and angry, and he should be. He’s gone his entire career with mediocre (at best) quarterback play. The Bears did not extend him before the start to this season, and who knows if they actually plan to do so in the future.

The Bears very well could decide to do something which would upset the entire fan base in dealing Robinson away from Chicago. On the last year of his deal, Robinson would actually fetch the Bears some strong draft capital in return — or maybe even offensive line help.

Trading Robinson would be a sad reality for Bears fans to get used to. He’s been the biggest bright spot over the past two and a half seasons and continues to prove he deserves to be paid among the league’s top wide receivers.

If Chicago dealt Robinson, they would have about 25 percent of their offensive targets vacated — an incredible number to replace. A Robinson trade would also signal that the Bears may have been too far apart on a deal to keep him in Chicago. That, above all else, would be an indictment on Pace.
