With the NFL trade deadline just days away, who are five teams the Chicago Bears should consider calling?

The NFL trade deadline is always an interesting time of the year. Unlike other professional sports leagues where there’s a lot of buzz regarding players being on the move, the NFL trade deadline is either really active or a complete snoozefest. For the Chicago Bears, under General Manager Ryan Pace, the Bears have made just one move at the trade deadline, which was trading for wide receiver Dontrelle Inman for a late-round draft pick in 2017.

This year, however, things are different for Pace and the Bears. While the team has scrapped and clawed its way to every one of its victories, this is a team that believes it can continue winning and potentially make a deep run into the playoffs.

The Bears defense continues to play at a high level, however, the offense needs some help. While Pace is never the one to make in-season acquisitions, especially ones that can significantly help the Bears, this year needs to be different. With the Bears being one of the top teams in the NFC, Pace needs to consider making a move that will address the Bears offensive line woes or add another weapon for quarterback Nick Foles.

The reality is that while any kind of move likely involves moving some 2021 NFL Draft capital, the Pace isn’t trading a first or second-round pick unless some big name becomes available on the market.

With the NFL trade deadline just days away, who are five teams that the Bears need to consider calling in order to shore up issues that will allow for the team to make a deep run down the stretch? Let’s list some names and find out.
