2. Kevin Zeitler, New York Giants

One of the best possible trade targets for the Bears has to be New York Giants guard Kevin Zeitler. It is the biggest position of need up front and Zeitler is actually one of the better guards in football.

It may be tough to believe, because the Giants’ offensive line as a whole is atrocious. But, Zeitler is one the lone bright spot for New York along that line.

Back in 2017, Zeitler received a huge contract from the Cleveland Browns and became the highest-paid guard in football, signing a 5-year, $60 million offer. When the Giants decided to trade Odell Beckham Jr., though, it was Zeitler who was sent as part of that package from Cleveland.

For those who don’t know, Zeitler played his college ball at the University of Wisconsin. Typically, if you play offensive line at Wisconsin, you’ll have a great shot to go pro and have a long, long career. But, Zeitler was an All American and ended up a first rounder to the Cincinnati Bengals.

In Zeitler, the Bears would get a strong pass and run blocker. He’s also been one of the most reliable linemen in football over the past five years, missing just a single game over that span.
