The Chicago Bears get a prime time matchup with the Los Angeles Rams in Week 7.

Another week and another win, and the Chicago Bears still cannot get the national respect they deserve. With a record of 5-1 following a convincing win over the Carolina Panthers, and now atop the NFC North, Chicago enters a Week 7 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams with a chance to, hopefully, earn their stay among the league’s elite.

These Bears are winning games, and that’s all that matters. But, many of them have come in close fashion. In fact, every one of their five victories have come within seven points or less. Even three of them required some serious comebacks.

Now, they get a team in the Rams who were embarrassed by an injury-riddled San Francisco 49ers team in prime time last week. Prior to the game against San Francisco, these Rams were putting up a respectable 27 points per game. In the loss, they only scored 16 points.

Funny enough, most Bears fans would kill for an offense to score 27 points per game, as they’ve only eclipsed that number twice on the year. Thankfully, they have a defense that is playing lights out at the moment.

Both of these teams have a lot to prove Monday night. The Bears must continue to prove they do belong at the top, despite the lack of belief nationwide. The Rams also must do the same. Last year, it seemed they lost the magic. Many did not believe they would return to a strong playoff team following the Super Bowl hangover. But, here they are at 4-2.

Like the Rams, the Bears lost their magic from 2018 last year and are now having to prove they can bring it back. But, to do that, they will have to watch themselves in three key areas which the Rams could exploit. Let’s dive in.
