Chicago Bears: 3 dangerous matchups Carolina Panthers present
By Ryan Heckman
2. Robby Anderson vs. Eddie Jackson
If you had Robby Anderson as the NFL’s third-leading receiver through Week 5, you need to go buy a lottery ticket. Anderson has been the favorite target for Bridgewater this year and has 36 catches for 489 yards through five games.

Anybody averaging nearly 100 yards receiving per game needs to be tagged as a focus point, and that’s exactly what the Bears defense should be doing.
Many thought it would be DJ Moore, but Anderson’s emergence as the top target in Carolina has been a pleasant surprise for the Panthers and will continue to allow Moore a little extra room to work. That’s going to be tough on this Bears defense.
Kyle Fuller and Jaylon Johnson have been phenomenal thus far, but it’s the speed of Anderson which should concern the Bears. That’s going to fall on the shoulders of Eddie Jackson. If Anderson goes deep, it’s Jackson who represents the last line of defense for the secondary.
Anderson already has a 75-yard reception on the year and has caught six passes of 20 or more yards through five games. Make no mistake. This is the receiver the Bears need to key-in on. This would be a great game for Jackson to make a statement, just as he did three years ago to these Panthers.
