The Defense

The Chicago Bears bad offense has made their defense look bad. In fact, their defense is so good that it should be a unit on a Super Bowl team. They say that defenses win championships but that seems farther and farther from being a reality these days. The Bears have a much better defense than a team like the Kansas City Chiefs but most would agree that the Chiefs have a better chance at winning the Super Bowl.

The offense of the Bears has let down their defense for too long now. That unit is so good at keeping the other team off the scoreboard and the offense does nothing for them. They only allowed 19 points to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who have a very good offense but only won by one point. Getting a guy like Bell would take so much pressure off the defense if it worked out.

If Bell could come in and help preserve Bears’ offensive drives, the defense would be off the field a lot more. They have been on the field way too much over the past few years and sometimes it wears on them. If the offense was better at making plays, the defense would have more chances to rest and be sharp for when they are called upon. It wouldn’t hurt to add a good back who can make plays.
