4. Forward Jerami Grant

Coming out of Syracuse back in 2015, forward Jerami Grant has worked his way into being a great role player. He spent from 2016-2019 with the Thunder, playing for Donovan, where he really elevated his game in his last season there.

This year, he spent his one and only season with the Denver Nuggets and was an instrumental piece of that bench. Of course, the Nuggets made it all the way to the Western Conference Finals before losing to the Lakers. An interesting connection with Grant is not only his relationship with Donovan, but coming from Denver, he also knows Karnisovas.

His last season with the Thunder was Grant’s best yet as a pro, where he averaged 13.6 points, 5.2 boards and 1.3 blocks. He also shot a career-best from beyond the arc at 39.2 percent. It helped that Grant started the healthy majority of that season, but this season with Denver saw him come off the bench more often.

Grant would bring solid depth at the forward position, to back up either Markkanen or Porter alongside Thaddeus Young on the bench. He’s one of those ideal role players who understands the things he does best and works hard at accomplishing his part.
