2. Jonathan Williams, Free Agent

After a year and a half on the Colts’ practice squad, Williams stepped in and rushed for 116 yards on 13 carries in a blowout victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars last November. The following game, Williams was the workhorse. He ran for 104 yards on 26 carries and caught three passes for 17 yards against the Houston Texans, with one score on the ground.
Since that game against Houston, Williams has been a ghost. He carried eight times the following week, but from there on out, never received another carry as the Colts regained some health at the position.
This August, Williams signed with the Lions only to be released two weeks later. He then wound up on the Lions’ practice squad the following day, only to be cut loose again. He is now a free agent and could present the Bears with a fantastic, young option to come in and help carry the load next to Montgomery.
Still just 26 years old, Williams is well-worth another shot in the NFL. Could it be with the Bears?
