Chicago Bears: 5 biggest concerns despite 2-0 start
By Ryan Heckman
3. A tiring defense
Boy, if the Bears can get even more snaps out of Robert Quinn in the coming weeks, this defense could be something scary. So far, the unit has allowed an average of 18.0 points per game through two weeks — more than enough to allow the Bears to win games.
Seeing Quinn take the field against the Giants was thrilling, especially when he and Khalil Mack did this.

More of that, please.
The one concern when it comes to the defense, though, is that they are going to tire out a lot of times like they did last year. In 2019, the Bears would have given the game away in Week 2. Last year’s team would have allowed the Giants to come back and win — and it nearly happened.
The main reason why? The offense couldn’t sustain drives last season. Again, we saw the same thing happen this past Sunday. The Bears defense was on the field much more in the second half, while the offense failed to score a single point.
Thankfully, Chicago held on and was able to secure the win. But, on most occasions, 17 points will not be enough to come out on top. Mitch Trubisky and the offense will have to do better at keeping the defense fresh while continuing to keep their foot on the gas pedal.
