2. TE Jimmy Graham

Tight end Jimmy Graham came up with seven targets against the Lions on Sunday, catching just three of them. One of them was the touchdown that spearheaded the fourth quarter comeback.

Coming up with just three of seven targets might not sound all too impressive, but Trubisky was credited with zero drops during this game via Pro Football Focus. By this logic, it means Graham should not be at fault for the four incompletions thrown his way.

If even two more of those balls were thrown accurately, Graham’s line could have been even bigger. Having a target like Graham on this offense, though, is something the offense has been missing. The Giants weren’t tested in the tight end department against Pittsburgh, with Roethlisberger targeting his tight ends just four times in total.

Combined with one target each for Cole Kmet and Demetrius Harris, Trubisky targeted the group nine times out of his 36 attempts. So, 25 percent of his targets went to the tight end position. He’s going to be looking for these guys to get involved, and Graham clearly gives him the best chance at a big play — especially in the red zone.
