Hot Take Number 3: Anthony Miller is on his way to his first 1,000 yard season

It was only one game, but Anthony Miller picked up right where he left off last season — on a tear. Trubisky spread the ball around well, but Miller led the way with four receptions for 76 yards and an absolutely incredible one-handed grab in which he laid out, dragging his toe prior to landing out of bounds.

That may have been the most impressive catch, overall, but his most impactful moment was obviously what would end up being the game-winning touchdown from Trubisky late in the fourth.

Everyone knows Allen Robinson will be a problem for defenses. He’s always open. Robinson’s hands are some of the best in the league (except for that rare drop Sunday). But, when the Bears get this type of play from Miller, the offense kicks it into another gear.

If you were to take just this one game sample, Miller would be on pace for 64 receptions and 1,216 yards. Obviously, he won’t score every single week. But, a 1,000-yard season is well-within reason for Miller.

Could the Bears end up having a pair of 1,000-yard receivers for the first time since Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall? It very well could happen. Miller’s play has been rising since the latter half of 2019, and he doesn’t appear to be slowing down.
