3. Matt Nagy

This one was hard to decide on, however, it goes to head coach Matt Nagy who called a gameplan that fits the strengths of the offense. With the Bears down 17 points, Nagy stuck to his gameplan and continued to have an even run-pass ratio. In the past, he would have abandoned the run game entirely and just had quarterback Mitchell Trubisky throw the ball to keep the offense in the game.

The final numbers show that Nagy stuck to his gameplan as well. With 22 total first downs between running and passing the ball, it’s clear that the Bears offense is always more efficient when Nagy is called a balanced gameplan.

Furthermore, the Bears offense also averaged 5.6 yards per play. Anytime you’re averaging nearly six yards per play while also having the ball for nearly 30 minutes, it’s a good sign that your offense is continuing to play at a high level.

Overall, was Nagy’s gameplan fancy and flashy? Certainly not. However, for the first time in what feels like forever in his three years in Chicago, he’s seemed to find a formula that’s worked for him. The more balanced the offense is, the better the overall results seem to be for the Bears.
