4th Quarter Mitch

The Chicago Bears named Mitchell Trubisky as the starting quarterback early last week and it wasn’t much of a surprise. He is historically good against the Detroit Lions and Nick Foles has always been seen as a guy who is a savior. He won the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles as a guy who came in late in the season to replace their injured starter. Well, Trubisky was decent once again in this game against the Lions.

The problem is that most of the very good production came in the fourth quarter. He led them down the field late in the game for a score that would eventually serve as the game-winning points. It was a fantastic fourth quarter by Mitch but it would be nice to see him bring that energy from the beginning of the game going forward. With that said, he deserves credit as he did what was needed to win the game.

Trubisky ended the day with 242 yards, 3 touchdowns, and no interceptions. He completed 20 passes on 36 attempts in his first game of the season for a 55% completion percentage. The numbers are pretty good with all things considered but he still needs to come out strong next week.
