Chicago Bears: Three takeaways from win over Detroit Lions

The Chicago Bears needed a last-minute bit of luck to pull off a big win over the Detroit Lions.

The Chicago Bears found a way to win a football game. They didn’t look all that good doing so but they walked out of Ford Field with a 27-23 victory over the Detroit Lions. The Lions controlled the scoreboard for most of the game but the Bears found a way to come ahead in the end. It was thrilling at the end and a game we won’t soon forget as we are hoping that it propels them to many more.

The Lions are a much-improved football team and they showed it on Sunday afternoon. What they didn’t do is show the ability to close out a win and the Bears took advantage. With the extra playoff team in there this year, the Bears need every win they can get. There are a lot of things that go into that possibility for them but starting 0-1 would have been less than ideal.

The Bears need to take what was good from this game and improve on it for next week. They need to look at the many areas they struggled in and look to improve them for next week. This was a nice win but one that they need to study hard so that they can continue to improve going forward.

We didn’t have a preseason this year so it was always going to be hard to predict things but now that there has been a game to watch, we can look at this team a little bit more closely. These are the three big takeaways from the game:
