5. WR Allen Robinson vs. CB Desmond Trufant

With Okudah not yet ready to start because of the lack of offseason preparation, Bears stud wide receiver Allen Robinson will be squaring off against Detroit’s starting corner Desmond Trufant, and potentially Justin Coleman as well, on occasion.

Last season, Robinson caught 14 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown combined in the two games against Detroit. In 2018, though, the Lions probably remember Robinson going for 133 yards and two touchdowns in Week 11.

The most intriguing aspect of Robinson’s outlook this season has to do with his lack of a contract extension. While all of these extensions are going on around him, Robinson has chosen to answer every question in regards to a possible deal by stating these things are out of his control and he will focus on the season at hand.

Still, in the back of his mind, you have to believe he is more motivated than ever before. He is watching plenty of his peers earn guaranteed money over the next few years while he has even hinted at the Bears not even beginning a negotiation on his part. If that last bit is true, watch for Robinson to come out for blood. Unfortunately for Detroit, Robinson’s skillset is just too good for the corners they are putting on the field.
