Mitch Trubisky won’t see Week 4

The Chicago Bears are one of the teams that is a good quarterback away from being an elite team. Their roster is very good but all football fans know that can all be for not if their quarterbacks aren’t good. They named Mitchell Trubisky as the starting quarterback last week and it is coming with a lot of mixed reviews. He was pretty awful in 2019 and a lot of people, I included, feel that it cost the Bears a spot in the playoffs.

Nick Foles was acquired by the Bears earlier in the offseason and he competed with Mitch in training camp for the starting job. Trubisky beat him out and is going to start in week one against the Detroit Lions. He has been awesome in his career against the Lions so you might have seen that decision coming. In week two against the New York Football Giants, he should also have himself a good game.

Mitch won’t have a long leash so right when he starts to cost the team a game, they will turn to Foles. That could, despite how bad they are perceived to be, be against one of the Lions or Giants. Then they have the Atlanta Falcon week three which could also be a tall task for Trubisky. I don’t see Mitch making it to week four against the Indianapolis Colts as the starter for that reason.
