Chicago Bulls: 3 possible trades with the Milwaukee Bucks
By Ryan Heckman
Trade 2
This scenario is a bit different than the previous deal.
In a way, this is a trade that screams LeBron James and either the Cleveland Cavaliers or Miami Heat. Both teams tried adding veterans around him in effort to win a championship. Thaddeus Young is the perfect type of veteran to add in this type of situation. If Milwaukee wants to make one more serious run before Giannis has a chance to leave, this is the type of trade you make.
Young is the perfect player to add to a team like Milwaukee because of his positional versatility. When Giannis went down to injury during the playoffs, they had no one even close to his level of defensive talent to fill in. Not to say Young is as good as Giannis, but he would be one of the better defenders to help fill the void in that situation.
He also offers more than some may think on offense, shooting over 49 percent from the field for his career. Last year with the Bulls, he averaged a respectable 10.3 points and 4.9 boards in less minutes than he was typically used to.
Let’s not forget Young was unhappy at one point last season. So, joining a contender would not only make him happy but give him a little extra boost. In return, the Bulls get one year of Ersan Ilyasova at $7 million, plus a first rounder.
