Trade 1

It remains to be seen what the Bulls are going to do about the future of former no. 7 overall pick Lauri Markkanen. Jim Boylen seemingly ruined him as a player, so there is a decision that needs to be made.

Will Karnisovas trust a new head coach to try and revert Markkanen back to the path he was on before Boylen came into play, or will he deal the starting power forward before he reaches free agency next summer?

If Giannis is to stick around, the Bucks will have to add more talent around him. The potential of Markkanen is definitely there, but he may have to get used to a bench role in Milwaukee. Maybe, just maybe, Markkanen becomes the league’s top sixth man in a situation like this.

It seems odd to picture Markkanen in a sixth man role, but for Milwaukee, it very well could work. This is just one of several moves the Bucks could look to make around the league in order to keep their superstar happy.

For the Bulls, they of course get a first rounder along with another former first-round pick and young forward, D.J. Wilson.
