The Bears kept nine offensive linemen on their roster, which is a positive. Over the last few seasons, Chicago has fallen victim of offensive line woes due to injury. Hopefully, they did enough during the offseason to address depth there.

It will be up to newcomers like Ifedi and Spriggs to provide that boost, with the former taking over at the starting right guard position. Spriggs is another newcomer who will be able to play either tackle position, and might even be able to help at guard if the team got desperate.

Coward shows up as the backup for both Ifedi and Massie, giving the Bears versatility on the right side of the line.

The biggest question mark for this unit, overall, is whether or not the minority signings and undrafted guys like Bars (2019) and Hambright (2020) are enough to provide a significant upgrade in the run game. That’s been the question all offseason long, and will continue to be a question mark until they prove otherwise.
