Chicago Bulls News: Team interested in 3 playoff coaching candidates

3. Dan Craig, Miami Heat
For those who may not know much about Dan Craig, it’s time to start paying attention to him. Craig is a guy not many are talking about, but the Bulls are going to interview him for a reason.
Craig has been with the Miami Heat for 17 years now, starting as a video intern all the way back in 2003. He’s worked his way up to a top assistant over the years and has seen a whole lot of winning over the years.
The Heat have won three championships while Craig was with the organization. The first was, of course, the 2006 team featuring Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O’Neal. Then, he was an assistant during the two titles won by LeBron James and company in 2012 and 2013.
Craig also coached the Heat’s G League squad, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, during the 2015-2016 campaign. Oh, and they won the G League championship that year. Craig won Coach of the Year that season and was given the privilege of coaching the All Star Game.
Like the Nuggets, the Heat have so many pieces which make up a deep team. They’re another example of a roster the Bulls should try to emulate, with several players knowing their roles and performing them at an exceptional level. If Craig finally leaves Miami for a head coaching gig, Chicago would be a phenomenal start for him.
