Trade Three

The Chicago Bears are bad at drafting in the early rounds, as mentioned before. Some of Ryan Pace’s biggest mistakes came in the early rounds of the drafts. Well, this trade is a couple of middle-round picks but they are even less valuable to the Bears. This team has a roster, sans the quarterback, that is built to win the Super Bowl now. They can’t waste another year of their elite defense so moving these picks to New Orleans would be a smart move.

This is essentially the same trade as the previous one except instead of Cohen it is a third-round pick. Those two assets seem to have the same value to the Bears right now so they shouldn’t be afraid to make either trade right now. If the Bears lost these two picks but picked up Kamara, they are adding a top-five running back for picks that might not turn into anything.

If they were to make this trade, they wouldn’t be losing any of their other backs so where would they all fit in. Well, Kamara and David Montgomery would make a great team splitting carries. Cohen could be a special package type running back which wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world either. No matter what, it would be a good problem to have because this team needs to be so much better at running the ball and perhaps even rely on it much more.

The reason the Bears are even involved in this conversation right now is that they are one of the leading teams to land him according to odds at multiple sportsbooks. There are no guarantees that they will even think about bringing him in but it feels like they should at least think about it. Their offense automatically becomes so much better if they do it so why not.
