Trade No. 1

Training camp is certainly not boring for the New York Jets. For starters, Le’Veon Bell is reportedly looking “slow” and the old man Frank Gore is looking fantastic. There very well could be a controversy coming at the running back position. But, the wide receiver position is a much bigger worry for the Jets right now.

Rookie Denzel Mims is starting to worry some fans with his injury, but he still has not been ruled out for Week 1. The Jets’ free agent signing Breshad Perriman is also out, along with a couple others.

If the Jets are rolling with Chris Hogan, Josh Malone and Jamison Crowder by Week 1, there should be much worry to go around. Hopefully, for the Jets’ sake, they get a starter back by then. If not, a trade with the Bears makes sense.

Dealing Javon Wims would make it easier for the team to figure out their wide receiver room before roster cuts become final, and the Jets get a guy who still offers some big-play ability without giving up a ton of capital.
