Trade No. 2

The second trade scenario is not nearly as big as the first, but it could have a significant impact down the line. If the Bulls dealt for Rodney Hood and ultimately extended him, he could prove to be a viable piece to the puzzle when they’re ready to compete on a more serious level.

In a way, this trade sees the Bulls taking a chance because Hood is coming off an Achilles injury. Those are tricky, and if Hood doesn’t come back 100 percent, then the Bulls lose this trade.

But, for the majority of his career, Hood has been a solid sixth man and could give the Bulls exactly what they need at that spot. Chicago needs a sixth man who can spot up and hit shots, but most importantly come in and be a force defensively. Hood is a known defender on the wing and would immediately become one of their best defensive players.

That’s not saying much for the Bulls, but a healthy Hood would bring a lot of little nuances that they do not have defensively. He would improve that side of the ball in a big way.
