2. Giannis Antetokounmpo

This is one of those crazy long shots, but if I’m Karnisovas, I make the attempt. Why not?

Giannis Antetokounmpo will be a free agent after next season and the 2021 class is loaded. The Bulls should be able to get involved in the bigger names, having more money to spend by that time. But, why not try to land Giannis beforehand?

There is always a possibility that he leaves Chicago after just one season. However, if the right coach is in place and Karnisovas is able to win him over, the Bulls could bring him back on a max deal before he is able to find a new home.

Imagining Giannis on a team with LaVine, White and Carter. The youth and potential of that core is incredibly tantalizing. Chicago would be a contender from the moment Giannis walked through the door.

This is all assuming he is going to leave Milwaukee, too. We don’t know that yet, but if the Bucks have any inkling Giannis will leave, then getting as much as they possibly could in a trade would be their best-case scenario. A piece like Markkanen, an expiring deal of Porter and some picks is probably as good an offer as Chicago could make.
