Chicago Bulls: 3 blockbuster trades to consider with 76ers
By Ryan Heckman
Trade No. 3
This final trade sees the Bulls getting Embiid as well, only this time, the cost would be a bit different.
This one would hurt a little bit. Let’s start with the obvious: Trading Zach LaVine would be tough on fans and the organization. He’s been the only constant over the past couple of years. He’s grown a ton.
However, if the Bulls slid Coby White to the two guard and rolled with Tomas Satoransky as the starter — for now — they could make this work in their favor. At the no. 4 pick overall, the Bulls very well could end up grabbing a point guard. Now, whether that’s LaMelo Ball, Tyrese Haliburton or Killian Hayes would depend on how draft night unfolds.
But, to snag one of those guys as another point guard of the future alongside an electric Coby White would be intriguing — and all to the point of adding Embiid once more.
The Bulls could look to add more defense in place of LaVine, who was never really effective on that side of the court. Embiid is obviously a force in the paint on either side, so the Bulls would do themselves a huge favor by looking to add defense on the wing.
