Trade No. 2

What would it cost to get a 26-year-old seven-footer who puts up 23.0 points and nearly 12.0 boards per game while being able to occasionally shoot the long ball? Now, add in the fact that injuries have been a concern for most of his career.

What’s the cost? In the case of today’s NBA, it’s likely still quite a bit. But, if the Bulls could land Embiid, it would be well worth the risk.

In this scenario, the Bulls would send Wendell Carter Jr., Thaddeus Young and a pair of first-round picks including this year’s no. 4 overall selection in exchange for Embiid and a future second rounder from Philly.

Trading Carter in a deal for Embiid makes sense, as there would be no place for him in Chicago once Embiid steps into the lineup. Plus, the Sixers get a young center to plug in right away.

Giving up Young wouldn’t be too tall a task, especially with how frustrated he was with the Bulls last year. Now, a new coach might help his outlook on things. But, in this case, he’s involved in the deal.

Two first-round picks? Seriously? We cannot forget there have been more than just two first rounders traded in a single deal recently. The Oklahoma City Thunder now have 15 first rounders over the next seven years, therefore, crazier things have happened.
