Trade No. 1

Losing Ben Simmons to injury destroyed any hope the Sixers had at making a playoff run. Simmons is a guy you could place around any group of players and he immediately elevates their game.

Imagine Simmons’ playmaking ability added to a roster with Zach LaVine and Coby White. Those would be some fun fast breaks. Heck, even the half court offense would flourish with the way Simmons facilitates.

In a deal for Simmons, I would imagine the Bulls give up one of their young assets. In this deal, it’s Lauri Markkanen. Along with Markkanen, the Bulls would trade the expiring contract of Otto Porter Jr. (assuming he opts-in next season).

Now, here is where it gets a little questionable. Trading two first-round picks after recently hiring a general manager who loves scouting, and scouting internationally to be specific, would be somewhat odd. But, to get a talent like Simmons, it might be worth it.

The second pick from Chicago would be top-7 protected (if you get it, you just laughed).
