3. Round Three, Pick 79: RB Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma State

Tarik Cohen is entering a contract year in and Cordarrelle Patterson is set to be a free agent next offseason. As soon as the calendar turns to 2021, the Bears won’t have a starting-caliber running back on the roster besides David Montgomery. Enter Chuba Hubbard.

Hubbard’s skillset would complement Montgomery’s perfectly. Where Montgomery is a power runner, Hubbard is a guy who’s going to turn on the jets once he reaches the second and third level. In other words, drafting a guy like Hubbard could give the Bears one of the most electric running back duos in the NFL.

Many assumed that Hubbard would declare for the 2020 NFL Draft, given his impressive sophomore season at Oklahoma State that saw him rush for 2094 yards and 21 touchdowns, averaging 6.4 yards per carry.

With another year of college under his belt, Hubbard is sure to rise up draft boards, however, the question is, for a player who’s a threat to score anytime he touches the ball, how far will his stock rise?
