1. Forward Deni Avdija, Maccabi (Israel)

The guy Karnisovas might be watching closest is forward Deni Avdija out of Israel. Known overseas as a point forward, Avdija has a lot of the classic characteristics of a strong international prospect.

If we know one thing about Karnisovas, it’s that he specializes in international scouting — so, again, keep an eye on Avdija.

One thing you will notice when watching Avdija’s tape is that he is used to adjusting his shot in the air. He is very crafty with working around defenders in the lane, but especially nifty when in mid-air. At times, it almost looks as though it’s too easy for him. He’s special when attacking the basket; very smooth.

He also has one heck of a release. His shot is as pure as it gets, and it’s definitely gotten better. He’s only 19 years old, so he has plenty of time to work on his craft and become more consistent. But, at such a young age, he’s also accomplished so much.
