Trade 2

The Chicago White Sox have been using Alex Colome as their closer for a little over a year now. He has, for the most part, got the job done. He has been a little shaky to start this year but he has done the job without much issue as far as results. Well, even though he hasn’t had the best start and has made White Sox fans hold their breath a bit this season, he would be the best reliever on the Cubs upon his arrival.

Craig Kimbrel has been as bad as a closer can possibly be this season. He has almost blown pretty much every game he has been in so far this season. The Cubs keep going back to him but that is eventually going to hit them where it hurts on the scoreboard unless they make a change. Kimbrel used to be one of the best in the business but has come down in recent years.

Colome would be a great replacement for Kimbrel. He would automatically be their closer when he got there if a trade like this ever came to fruition. This is something the Cubs should consider as they really only have one more run at the World Series with their current core fully together so adding someone like Colome could really go a long way.
