Blackhawks: Three young players who can impact play-in series
Out of all the young players on the Chicago Blackhawks to rely on to make an impact, the top of the list should probably have the one who was nominated for the Calder Trophy as the NHL’s top rookie. Dominik Kubalik is going to come in third because Cale Makar and Quinn Hughes are fighting for the top spot and the others are going to come in second. Even still, Kubalik was awesome and needs to be good again for them to have a chance.
Kubalik had 30 goals as a rookie so we know that he needs to score them once the playoffs roll around as well. He is looking like he is going to be on a line with Jonathan Toews and Brandon Saad. That is a line with some big bodies that they can use to impose their will and they all have a tremendous amount of offensive skills so they will score some goals.
Dach isn’t the only youngster that is now on the power play with Toews and Kane. They also put Kubalik on the unit with them which should be really good. It makes no sense that he wasn’t there with them all season long but as long as he is there for the playoffs, the unit should be able to score. They have no excuse to be bad on the power play with the talent that they have so hopefully they are able to fix it with Kubalik. He is a great player in all situations and could be one of the many young guys who help them succeed.
