1. DE Trevis Gipson

This is the one name on this list that Bears fans are likely the most familiar with. Trevis Gipson, who was drafted by the Bears in the fifth-round of the 2020 NFL Draft showcased tons of potential during his final year at Tulsa.

Gipson’s final year at Tulsa saw him post eight sacks, 15 tackles for loss, and 49 total tackles. For a guy who broke out during his final year in college, Gipson is clearly one of the biggest names to keep an eye on during Bears camp.

Gipson will join an already talented defensive ends room that includes Bilal Nichols, Roy Robertson-Harris, and Akiem Hicks. Right now, many may seem to label him as the “odd man out”, however, Gipson is one of the more explosive players on the team and despite needing some time to fulfill his potential, he’ll have the opportunity to showcase that he’s got what it takes to see the field as a rookie. To be clear, Gipson won’t start in 2020, however, he will be one of many players that will be vying for a spot in the Bears defensive ends rotation.
