4. Joe Burrow

How could a guy with an overall rating of 76, who has never played a down of NFL football, be so high on this list? Call me crazy, but Joe Burrow is the best quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck, and I’d love to take that chance on him at no. 4 if I had the chance.

What Burrow did in his final season at LSU was nothing short of mesmerizing. It was a history-making season for Burrow, who threw for 60 touchdowns in 2019. Bursting onto the scene after a ho-hum 2018 campaign, Burrow soared from 16 passing touchdowns to nearly quadruple that number while also essentially doubling his passing yardage (2,894 in 2018 versus 5,671 in 2019).

Not only did he double his passing yardage, nearly quadruple his passing touchdowns and add roughly 150 attempts in 2019, but he completed over 76 percent of his passes. That is astounding. These are all obvious reasons why he was the no. 1 overall pick back in April’s draft.

The reigning Heisman Trophy winner and National Champion is a no-brainer for me if I’m selecting fourth in my franchise mode draft. His rating doesn’t show it right now, but Burrow is on his way to being special for a very long time.
